How It All Began

Glow With Jimma was born in March 2026 — but the story really starts a little earlier, in the middle of an unexpected plot twist.

In June 2025, Jimmary Matos was laid off from her job. At first, she leaned into the freedom — enjoying the housewife life alongside her husband, Demetrices Riley. No alarm clocks. No commutes. Just space to breathe. And honestly? It was beautiful.

But Jimmary is not someone who stays still for long.

Beneath the peace, something was stirring. She felt the pull of her own potential — a quiet but persistent voice reminding her that her talents were meant for more. So she started exploring. She jumped on Twitch and streamed herself gaming with friends. She created content on social media. She leaned into her natural knack for fixing things and planning events. Each path was fun, but none of them felt like hers.

Then one evening, Demetrices came home from work and asked her a simple question that changed everything:

"Have you ever thought about cosmetology?"

It wasn't random. For over a year, Jimmary had been doing his locs — and she had gotten good. Really good. Whenever he stepped out, people would stop him and ask who did his hair. That question, asked by the person who knew her best, sparked something she hadn't felt before: a deep, undeniable curiosity.

Within a week, she enrolled in cosmetology school part-time. Within a month, she went full-time — because once she fell in love with the art, the theory, and the journey, there was no slowing down.
