Why I Started Glow With Jimma LLC

Glow With Jimma helped me find my passion.

What began as a name I created for a class assignment eventually became the brand that represents who I am — and the vessel through which I’m working to create financial freedom for my family. I started Glow With Jimma because I wanted to share the feeling I experience when I’m fully in my feminine energy: confidence, joy, creativity, and freedom of expression.

There’s something powerful about getting your lashes done, styling your hair, putting on makeup, and finishing it off with an outfit that makes you feel like yourself. It’s in the compliments from strangers, the look my husband gives me, and the way I carry myself afterward. That feeling changed how I saw myself, and I realized it’s a feeling every woman deserves to experience. My mission is to inspire as many women as possible to know that confidence and freedom are available to them, too.

That mission became deeply personal after I was unexpectedly let go from my job last June — the day before my husband and I moved into our new home, just two months before our wedding. I had never been fired before, and I was completely crushed. But with determination and the support of my husband, I refused to stay down.

I spent time searching for what truly moved me. I tried streaming, social media influencing, and event planning, but none of them felt aligned. One day, my husband asked if I had ever considered cosmetology. That question changed everything. I did my research and enrolled part‑time at Ogle School of Beauty and Cosmetology. Within a month, I fell in love with the process — the learning, the creativity, and the discipline — and I transitioned to full‑time classes.

Shortly after, I discovered eyelash extensions, and everything clicked. Lashes allowed me to express creativity while honoring my meticulous nature and attention to detail. I realized I had finally found something I was passionate about — something that aligned with my purpose. 

Glow With Jimma is more than a beauty business. It’s a reflection of resilience, faith, and purpose. It exists to edify and inspire women to be soft, powerful, and free — and I am committed to growing it with heart, excellence, and intention.
